Kyle is organizing a collecting trip and has invited the OKAA along!

on May 27th, 2013 (Memorial Day Monday) I plan to go to the Cimarron River near the town of Dover, Oklahoma to do some collecting and I'm opening it up to a club trip to anyone else who'd like to attend. I'll probably try and get out there fairly early, like 8-9am.
More information is in this thread: http://www.theokaa.org/vb40/showthre...ollecting-trip

The May OKAA meeting will feature the second presentation to OKAA by our very own Xuyen Ha. He'll be talking about nutrient/substrate interactions in planted tanks and, with your input, maybe more! Join the conversation about the May meeting at http://www.theokaa.org/vb40/showthre...8274#post98274 and give your suggestions!

The meeting will be held at our usual place and time:

Place: The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Robert M. Bird Library in Oklahoma City.
Time: Saturday, May 18 (the third Saturday of the month), starting at 1:00pm.

We will also have an auction including any plants, fish, inverts, foods, hard goods, or any other aquarium-related items that any of the members might want to bring.

The meeting will be held in the auditorium on the 2nd floor (street level to the front (East) of the building). Park in parking lot "J". You can either enter through the South door (1st floor) and use the elevator to the 2nd floor or enter through the front doors and make your way to the auditorium. Be mindful that this is a library so keep the noise to a minimum as you enter the building.

    See you there!

The January meeting will be held on January 19th at the OU Health Sciences library (near the state capitol building in OKC). The meeting will be in the auditorium in the Robert M. Bird Library on the corner of NE 10th and Stonewall avenue. Park in parking lot "J" and either enter through the main doors on the East (2nd level) or through the South door on the first floor and take the elevator or stairs to the 2nd level. Just West of the elevator is a lounging area next to a large window to the garden on the North side of the building. The auditorium entry is just South of this lounging area.

I will be doing a presentation on "Bagging and transporting fish and plants" both for shipping and auction as well as a few other odds and ends for handling fish. the presentation will start at 1pm so try and get there a little before. We will have a small auction as well so if you have any extra fish, plants or hardgoods you want to sell, bring them along. Please print out a "seller's form" found mid-way down this page: http://www.theokaa.org/vb40/content.php?15 There is also a short auction guideline you can read or print out. Also have your items labeled and ready to go before you get there or arrive early and give yourself time to get things ready before the presentation so we can start on time.

hope to see you all there! Kyle
